Comparaison inter-laboratoires sur l’étalonnage d’une balance / Proficiency testing on balance calibration (2021)

Registration closed

Balance calibration

This proficiency testing is about the calibration of a balance with folowing caracteristics:

  • Max: 120g
  • Resolution: 0.1 mg

Procedure of balance calibration

The calibration method used is the calibration method described in standard EN 45 501, namely:

  • An accuracy test covering the range of use. The following points are chosen: 100 mg, 2 g, 10 g, 50 g, 70g, 100g, 120g
  • Two repeatability tests (20g and 100g)
  • An eccentricity test (20g)

Each participant will perform the calibration with their own standard weights. Performing all of the tests requested above is strongly recommended but is not mandatory (if you do not have all the standard weights requested, for example).

A detailed protocol will be provided to each participant at the beginning of the campaign.

Organization of the PT

The balance will be available to each participant according to a previously defined schedule. Participants will therefore be invited at CT2M place (Saint Chamas, France) to calibrate the balance in week 26 (from June the 28th to July the 2nd 2021).
